Remembrance Day 2018

This Remembrance Day marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War.

It’s an opportunity for us all to come together and remember those who sacrificed for our freedom.

So wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, at 11am on 11 November, pause for a minute. Remember them.

Why we stop

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, in the 11th month of 1918, the guns on the Western Front fell silent. This year marks 100 years since the Armistice was signed to end the First World War — the culmination of four years of commemoration. It’s an opportunity to remember those who fought to protect our way of life. To reflect on their sacrifice and to be thankful for the freedom we enjoy today. So this Remembrance Day, come together, stop for a minute and remember them.

This Remembrance Day,
11 November at 11am,
stop for a minute.
